My Rifle And Myself Are
Defenders Of My Country..
If you have ever seen Full Metal Jacket, you would hopefully recognize that line above. Stanely Kubrick's film Full Metal Jacket was made in the eighties. To this day it is still acclaimed to be the best war movie ever made. If you have never seen the movie I will tell you a little bit about it. If you have seen it, it will be a good review so bear with me.
Full Metal Jacket follows a short but distinct set of young gentleman in a Marine Corpse boot camp at the beginning of the movie. Some you see survive boot camp but only to see the horrors of the Vietnam War. Others can be seen all the way up to thier demise.
In my opinion, not only is Full Metal Jacket the best war movie of all time, but the movie also contains one of the most suspensful, nerve racking scenes in movie history. (For those that have seen the movie, I am referring to the search for the sniper towards the end of the movie.)
